Responsibilities:

Reporting to the the Coordinator, Records and Information within within our Corporate Planning and Performance team, your responsibilities would primarily include:

  • Development, implement and maintenance of a tailored organisational FOI training program that ensures knowledge and understanding of relevant FOI processes across the organisation;
  • Driving improvement of the organisation’s FOI processes as identified through the analysis of current maturity assessment outcomes, compliance audits and existing business processes, including process improvement across the organisation using the City’s EDRMS solution;
  • Acting as a point of contact for customers and stakeholders and responds to enquiries ensuring that these are addressed, resolved and/or re-directed for resolution and;
  • Maintain compliant work practices in accordance with all relevant legislation, recordkeeping frameworks and all other relevant Council policies and procedures, and other frameworks

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • Demonstrated high level skills, thorough knowledge, and extensive experience in providing services required by the Freedom of Information Act 1992, and information and records management;
  • High level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with proven ability to effectively communicate with elected members, executive, staff and members of the general public, and provide a high-level customer focused service;
  • Highly developed research, analysis, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions in accordance with the relevant legislation and policies; and
  • High level skills in information management technology including electronic recor
