The Alberta Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) is accountable and responsible to the GoA, to Albertans, to their communities, and to industry for the protection of people, their property, and the environment from the effects of emergency events. - Using knowledge of all four phases of emergency management and knowledge of other government units’ roles in emergency management, in combination with preparedness subject matter expertise, to act as a spokesperson for the team
- Using Adult Learning Theory, developing and delivering preparedness presentations, training and workshops to community leaders and GoA staff to create champions for the preparedness program
- Representing the team and AEMA at public events and delivering presentations at conferences and other events, including virtual or in-person town halls.
