JOB DESCRIPTION/PERSON SPECIFICATION

Responsibilities:

MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

We are looking to recruit a new Information Governance Officer to join our current team. You will be joining a team that has always embraced all that flexible working gives but values what regularly working together face-to-face brings. We spend one day a week as a team in the office based in Norwich and this helps build great teamworking opportunities and supports our esprit de corps and collective wellbeing. We are a part of a highly regarded ICT department that provides high quality support services.
We do not expect that you will join us with the full skillset; trained IG professionals are hard to find. So, we have a history of actively training and developing our staff with professional qualifications as well as soft skills to help better engage with our colleagues and service users alike.
They will join the team that manages information requests. This role is vital to ensure that information is provided in a timely manner to those who have a right to receive it. Our requests cover multiple legislations and are very varied in nature. You will work alongside colleagues within our Information Governance and Information Security teams to help provide a full IG service to the Trust. Our approach to our work is embodied by our strap line: Keeping IG Simple.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Information Rights Manager and Deputy Data Protection Officer, this role will focus on our responsibilities towards dealing with information requests under the General Data Protection Regulation and Freedom of Information Act.
Our team works flexibly. Typically, four days a week from home, and one day a week in the office. We are based at County Hall in Norwich.
