Description:

We currently have a vacancy for an Information Management and Documentation Expert fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 17 years of relevant working experience in IT;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in design and implementation of content, records, archives and information management systems in public or private sectors;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in standards and best practices in the domain of records, archives and information management, digital preservation and public access to documents;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in information management, ontology design, metadata management, open data technologies, document encryption, digital signature, full-text search techniques and semantic web technologies;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in configuring, customizing and operating document management information systems such as OpenText Documentum, Alfresco or equivalent document management platforms will be considered an asset;
  • Minimum 14 years of experience in web technologies such as: Java/JEE, Javascript, JSP, XML, HTML, SOAP, Oracle WebLogic, Angular;
  • Minimum 14 years of experience in technologies such as: Oracle RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL, SQL Developer, SQL Developer Data Modeler, hibernate, Eclipse;
  • Minimum 14 years of experience in technologies such as: UML, Design Patterns, RUP, SCRUM, JAXRS, Elastic Search, Jira, Jenkins, Bamboo;
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in Agile processes and methodologies;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in web services, enterprise integration patterns and best practices as well as knowledge of cloud platforms and database management systems;
  • Minimum 3 years of specific expertise in implementation or support of largescale, enterprise-grade multi-user information systems, active participation in projects implementing or using Enterprise Content Management (ECM) or long-term digital preservation platform ;
  • Excellent command of the English language and good understanding of French language.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on defining policies and strategies for content, records, archives and information management, including capture, selection, retention and digital preservation;
  • Contribute to the design, development and maintenance of records, archives and information management systems and to the technical implementation of new or adapted policies;
  • Identify requirements for content, records, archives and information management systems and draw up functional and/or technical specifications;
  • Elaborate system integration and data migration approaches for legacy repositories;
  • Develop and maintain solutions for long-term digital preservation and archiving in accordance with the applicable legal framework, including support of encryption, digital signatures, confidentiality, secure access to documents and data protection;
  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of metadata standards for content and records management, including archival description;
  • Implement data publication and exchange solutions by exploiting potential advantages of linked open data and semantic web technologies;
