MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of secure software design principles
  • Knowledge of SQL or Oracle databases
  • Knowledge of MQSeries and Messaging
  • Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Stack
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and communication protocols
  • Knowledge of Architecture concepts and frameworks

  • Experience with SAST and DAST tools

Responsibilities:

The Cybersecurity Application Developer will design security applications and services to support the needs of security and the and business has a deep technical understanding of n-tiered application design patterns as well as an in-depth technical knowledge of the design of enterprise level systems. The position will recommend application security architecture to align with current technology standards. The position will assist where needed with root cause analyses of problems and incidents associated with applications and services. The Cyber Security Application Developer will partner with Security and business groups to define technology system scope, SLAs, objectives, and requirements. The position will drive merging business requirements with technical software solutions. All duties are to be performed in accordance with company policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Consults with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement software applications.
  • Assists with technical/business problems and guides others in the delivery of business solutions.
  • Defines application security architecture and drives solid decisions.
  • Applies creative force and facilitates the design of software components, systems interfaces, and user interfaces to meet business objectives.
  • Maintains currency in system application security software releases, operating systems and methodologies to support architecture based on best practice and performance.
  • Analyzes functional and technical capabilities of new and existing product offerings to determine fit and appropriateness for the company.
  • Promotes application security architecture view within larger architecture context.
  • Maintains awareness of current trends, market conditions, and demographic data as they pertain to the architecture of new capabilities to lift business and technology competitive stance and recommends and establishes best practices.
  • Acts as a technical and integration subject matter expert.
  • Completes project life cycle analysis to determine the best fit for the application security layer.
  • Engages with vendors as the technical application security lead including project/roadmap delivery, solution viability, system/data/interface integration, data accessibility, vendor performance, and ability to meet deadlines and deliverables.
  • Create documentation for use by technical teams and project management.
  • Must have the ability to work on multiple applications/projects simultaneously.
  • Reinforces department goals and vision and continually implements this strategy and respective business function’s advocacy into overall communications.
  • Mentors other team members on secure software design
  • Participates in the application security review process
