- Strong relationship management skills to influence the implementation of fit-for-purpose business solutions ensuring good information management practices.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Ability to develop and implement enterprise-level information management principles by taking a ‘by-design’ approach.
- Leverage business analysis skills and tools to elicit requirements from stakeholders across the enterprise.
- Experience with enterprise content management systems such as OpenText.
- Current understanding of emerging technologies, especially those relevant to protection and privacy of information.
MŌ NGĀ PŪKENGA | QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 7 years applied experience in Information management.
- Bachelor qualification in Knowledge or Information Management, Information Science or related discipline.
- Expert knowledge of information management disciplines and practices, in a government context.
- Excellent understanding of relevant statutes, rules, and regulations, including compliance obligations under the Public Records Act 2005 and Privacy Act 2020.
- Demonstrated experience managing Information within local government is desired.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of information architecture frameworks by collaborating with teams, ensuring seamless integration across core systems and council processes.
- Represent information management requirements in the planning and delivery of projects involving data and information processes or systems.
- Providing specialist advice and guidance to the Information management team and wider organisation ensuring high standards and efficiency.
- Collaborate with all core system business owners to effectively implement information architecture, aligning with strategic goals.
- Analyse and resolve Information Management issues.
- Regulate practices and support Information management systems to ensure continuous process improvement.
