  • Strong relationship management skills to influence the implementation of fit-for-purpose business solutions ensuring good information management practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Ability to develop and implement enterprise-level information management principles by taking a ‘by-design’ approach.
  • Leverage business analysis skills and tools to elicit requirements from stakeholders across the enterprise.
  • Experience with enterprise content management systems such as OpenText.
  • Current understanding of emerging technologies, especially those relevant to protection and privacy of information.

MŌ NGĀ PŪKENGA | QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 7 years applied experience in Information management.
  • Bachelor qualification in Knowledge or Information Management, Information Science or related discipline.
  • Expert knowledge of information management disciplines and practices, in a government context.
  • Excellent understanding of relevant statutes, rules, and regulations, including compliance obligations under the Public Records Act 2005 and Privacy Act 2020.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Information within local government is desired.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of information architecture frameworks by collaborating with teams, ensuring seamless integration across core systems and council processes.
  • Represent information management requirements in the planning and delivery of projects involving data and information processes or systems.
  • Providing specialist advice and guidance to the Information management team and wider organisation ensuring high standards and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with all core system business owners to effectively implement information architecture, aligning with strategic goals.
  • Analyse and resolve Information Management issues.
  • Regulate practices and support Information management systems to ensure continuous process improvement.
