Description:
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS –
- Experience in a retail environment including dealing with customer enquiries in a reception or frontline service area, cash handling procedures and using digital booking software.
- A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) is an essential requirement for this role. The role has been identified as requiring this check in line with the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012.
- Ability to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends and public holidays if required.
- A current Australian drivers licence and first aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities:
National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for part-time and casual Information & Retail Assistants to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.
This is an exciting opportunity to be the face of National Parks and Wildlife Service assisting visitors to the Blue Mountains Heritage Centre in Blackheath. In this role you will be the trusted face and voice of National Parks, providing guidance, advice, and assistance to visitors on all aspects of national parks, as well as working in the retail area. It is a fast-paced, dynamic environment; in which you will often need to deal with simultaneous demands.
The part-time role is 35 hours per fortnight and includes working 2 weekends days each fortnight along with working during peak periods such as school holidays and on public holidays.
In the casual position you will be required to work weekends, public holidays, and peak periods such as school holidays and long weekends.
