The Role
Our client is a leading Service Provider based in Muscat, Oman. They are currently seeking an Information Security Officer to join their team. The role shall contribute to the organization’s information systems, networks, and data through managing controls and compliance measures that aid in the mitigation of security breaches and cyber threats, in compliance with the relevant laws and regulations governing publicly listed companies. The ISO is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the information security program to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information. - Oversee the implementation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and standards. - Manage the security risk assessment and mitigation process. - Create, communicate and implement a risk-based process for vendor risk management, including the assessment and treatment for risks that may result from partners, consultants and other service providers. - Lead the development and execution of incident response plans. - Create and maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, Computer Science, or a related field. - 2+ years of experience in information security - Proven track record of success in developing and implementing security programs. - Strong understanding of security best practices and industry standards (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001) - Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Familiarity with the legal bodies and compliance requirements locally.
