Description:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years experience in Information Security roles
  • Experience with security and privacy standards such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity framework, SOC1/2, HIPAA/PIPEDA/GDPR, etc.
  • Any of CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA certifications are beneficial to the role but not a requirement where candidate has equivalent experience
  • Proven track record in successful implementation of policy and systems
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple activities and objectives
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining trusted advisor relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bilingual in English & French seen as an asset

Responsibilities:

As the Information Security Specialist, you will work closely with the Chief Security Officer to maintain and improve SHOEBOX’s ISO 27001 certified Information Security Management System. Your primary responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to, the following:

  • Customer security questionnaires
  • Security posture maintenance – coordinating access reviews, backups,
  • CAPA & Continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support Information Security needs in software development process
  • Incident Management
  • Risk Management
  • Business continuity & disaster recovery planning and rehearsals
  • Support software tool lifecycle
  • Provide security awareness training to employees
  • Other duties as assigned to support the needs of the business
