Description:

Information Technology Strategies, LLC. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Information System Security Officer to work for our company.

SUMMARY:

  • Client Agency is DHS
  • Must be able to pass DHS Background check (Basic eligibility requirements include: U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history, no recent or pending bankruptcies).
  • The ISSO coordinates information technology security regulations and requirements. Follows all USCIS, and DHS policies and best practices. Provides that information to the teams and helps navigate the teams to compliance.
  • Ensures that weaknesses, vulnerabilities and findings are identified and addressed appropriately. Prepares POA&Ms, waivers and/or accepted risk process as necessary.
  • Maintains an inventory of hardware and software for assigned program.
  • Provides development teams with weekly security reports.
  • Prepares all security documentation and ensures it is updated and maintained, including but not limited to: Security Plan and Contingency Plan.
  • Conducts annual Contingency Plan Testing.
  • Reports IT security incidents in accordance with established procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to pass DHS Background check (Basic eligibility requirements include: U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history, no recent or pending bankruptcies).
  • Must have 5+ years of experience with the cybersecurity posture of an organization, system or program and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process as well as working with cybersecurity tools to include security and assessment scans, STIG reviews, endpoint security and patch management.
