DESCRIPTION
Leidos Defense Systems currently has an opening for an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) supporting our customer on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience supporting the U.S. Army applying the RMF process within the rapid acquisition lifecycle.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering or Math with a minimum of 4-8 years of relevant experience.
- Candidates must comply with the experience, training, and certification requirements IAW DoD 8570.01 IAT level II or IAM level III.
- CISSP certification
- Experience of determining and assessing vulnerabilities including planning, testing, and documenting (DoD) accreditation packages for Information Technology (IT) systems and networks, specifically within RMF.
Candidates must be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Project Management Experience
- Working knowledge of RMF 2.0
- Familiar with U.S. Army Rapid Acquisition Lifecycle
- Experience with the accreditation/documentation of weapons systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develops Risk Management Framework (RMF) Accreditation documentation, standard operating procedures, and policies for both networked and stand-alone computer systems, with the result of achieving ATOs.
- Document preliminary or residual security risks for system operation & manage and approve Authorization Packages. Verify that the software application/network/system authorization and assurance documentation is current.
- Communicates and develops security policies for data, software applications, hardware, telecommunications, and information systems programs.
- Candidate will be responsible for serving as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for systems assigned. Responsibilities of an ISSO include (but are not limited to), maintenance of authorization packages and SOP documentation within the RMF and Army rapid acquisition lifecycle.
- Position requires good communication skills with Government customer, co-workers, and vendors while being able to adapt to a dynamic customer and deadline-oriented environment.
