Responsibilities:

KŌRERO MŌ TE TŪRANGA | ABOUT THE ROLE

Within CASS we are looking for a highly effective Information Technology Security Manager (ITSM). The ITSM role is responsible for delivering business & operational assurance to ensure that Central Agency information and services are effectively managed and protected to achieve information security objectives. The successful candidate will engage within all areas of the business including key stakeholders from the central agencies. External relationships are crucial in the success of this role with there being an aspect of high-level engagement across the rest of the public sector. The ITSM will be an integral part of CASS’ security governance team including membership of the Architecture Review Board, Change Advisory Board, and Security Governance Forum.

To be successful in this role you will bring with you:

  • Strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to take a holistic view of Information Security across CASS & the Central Agencies
  • The drive to embed an organisation wide culture of security awareness with a solution focus and can-do attitude
  • Demonstrable experience in communicating with senior business and stakeholders
  • Solid experience working in an IT Vendor like environment
  • CISSP, GIAC, CISM or SABSA Certifications an advantage
  • A minimum 5 years’ experience in equivalent information security role
