Admiral Money is hiring and we’re looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team. You will be working on the latest technologies and platforms: AWS, Azure, Terraform and M365 E5 and our Telephony/Contact Centre (Connect).
You will be working in a fun, fast paced and friendly environment that enjoys innovation and the latest technology.
Together with your colleagues you will maintain, deploy and continually monitor and improve the services that constitute the Admiral Money infrastructure.

Admiral Money is an exciting, new division of Admiral Group. We have the freedom and innovation of a small start up with the security of a large parent company, Admiral.
The journey started when we launched unsecured personal loans in June 2017. We went on to be the first direct to consumer car finance provider in December 2017. Since then, we have gone from strength to strength and have some exciting plans for the future.
We’re looking for people who are keen to learn, excited about getting stuck in and are ready for a challenge to help us to achieve our aim of creating a special lending business for our customers.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven AWS and Azure 3rd line support experience in a previous role.
  • Knowledge of security best practice within AWS & Azure.
  • M365 administration Azure AD, Endpoint/Intune, Exchange, SharePoint & Teams.
  • AWS Connect / Telephony / Chat Bot experience is highly advantageous.
  • Backup and recovery experience using Veeam/Rubrik/or Similar.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our existing team. They will ensure that existing and new services are operational and meets business needs. This position will be a mixture of 3rd line escalation and Delivery work. This is an exciting time to join us on our journey as we prepare and build our cloud first infrastructure to support a number of new initiatives and projects over the coming years.
You will be joining a highly motivated, friendly and fast paced IT Infrastructure team with a large programme of change planned for the foreseeable future. You will act as an escalation point for our IT support for the operations team for 3rd line and have the opportunity to get involved and also help improve our processes/practices and work with the latest technology as the business continues to grow.
You will be an organised, enthusiastic self-starter, a problem solver and to top it off a great communicator, able work closely with our colleagues and any third parties that might be involved in the delivery of our services to the business. You will be someone that people can trust and turn to for help and support, you will be a keen learner and willing to increase your knowledge, skills and progress your career and grow with the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide 3rd Line Support resolving and solving problems with internal and third party escalations ensuring service levels adhered to for performance, availability, reliability and integrity.
  • Monitor Services in order to identify potential incidents and assist in resumption of services when required.
  • Plan and Deliver new services and manage Change of existing services up to and including the creation of SOPs/Runbooks and mentoring & advising the 1st/2nd line operations teams.
  • Provide SME knowledge and work with our Architecture & Security teams to deliver new exiting services for our colleagues and customers.
  • Proactively support and assist in ensuring the security of the business, monitor attempted intrusions, virus threats, security risks.
  • Provide support for audits/governance and regulatory actions assigned to the infrastructure team.
