ARE YOU A CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER LOOKING TO GROW YOUR EXPERTISE AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE ON PROJECTS ACROSS THE WORLD? BURO HAPPOLD IS LOOKING TO RECRUIT A CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER TO JOIN OUR INFRASTRUCTURE GROUP AT OUR MANCHESTER OFFICE.

You will join us as a key member of our Civil Infrastructure team, responsible for supporting the delivery of our diverse portfolio of projects. We believe in variety, and our exciting pipeline of current and planned projects will offer you the chance to be involved in one of our major international projects on the global stage.
We are proud of the different clients, countries and types of project that we get the opportunity to experience from our base in the centre of Bath. We have particular expertise in delivering sports and entertainment arena and stadia, aviation campus developments, large scale masterplanning projects and complex brownfield generation schemes. We enjoy a mix of scales and projects type and aim to ensure our team members experience a broad range of projects during their careers.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A technical background in drainage, roads, earthworks and utilities co-ordination
  • Experience in working within a multidisciplinary team, or large international projects
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civils 3D, experience in WinDes MicroDrainage
  • Experience of large international multidisciplinary projects
  • Relevant degree
  • A desire to work towards Professional registration with a relevant institution.

Responsibilities:

YOUR NEXT ROLE:

  • Be part of an exceptional team that embraces technically demanding projects and challenges
  • Be at the forefront of changes in the industry such as reducing embodied carbon and modern methods of infrastructure design.

KEY DUTIES:

  • Undertaking design from feasibility and option studies through to detailed civil engineering design, striving to see that service and project work are carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget
  • Preparation of reports to support planning applications and design stage deliverables
  • Plan and manage CAD documentation of design work
  • Prepare technical specifications
  • Ensure senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
