About the role
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will join an already established Digital Spine Platform team within CBS, providing a level of technical knowledge to undertake the troubleshooting and resolution to production incidents or problems that underpin our newly launched mobile app. You will deal with these tickets independently and escalate to Senior Infrastructure Engineers if required.
In this role you will be responsible for completing tasks to agreed levels of quality, within stated timescales with appropriate levels of supervision. You will seek improvement opportunities within the team and its processes/procedures. You will effectively prioritize tasks to ensure high priority activities are completed first.

In the Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role, you will be an effective team member who will provide support and guidance to peers and other team members, who contributes to team efficiency through the creation of accurate technical documentation. You will be responsible for independently troubleshooting and resolving all product and infrastructure service incidents. Undertake technical tasks such as maintaining scripts, automated code, reviewing logs, assisting build and configuration activity, and maintaining the technical estate. As well as being responsible for supporting change and implementation where appropriate technical competence has been reached and maintaining an enterprise view.

About you
In this role we are looking for you to show a willingness to learn, a desire to embrace new technology and is open to a challenge. You will be able to deliver clear and logical documentation for team members and end users to follow
It is important that you are able to work under pressure whilst remaining thorough, with a good attention to detail.
You will be able to deliver to agreed timescales and have a flexible approach to working hours, including being part of a callout rota to meet own objectives and assist colleagues in meeting their objectives.
You will be responsible for independently troubleshooting and resolving all product and infrastructure service incidents
You will undertake technical tasks such as maintaining scripts, automated code, reviewing logs, assisting build and configuration activity and maintaining the technical estate.
You will effectively prioritize tasks to ensure high priority activities are completed first.
Supporting change and implementation where appropriate technical competence has been reached and maintaining an enterprise view.
You will have experience and understanding of containerization, particularly Terraform and Kubernetes.
You will have a strong understanding of cloudbased architectures, specifically AWS.
