Description:
- Maintains, monitors, and supports the infrastructure environment
- Coordinates and works on multiple cross-functional base work initiatives and projects
- Diagnoses and resolves complex hardware, software, and connectivity problems
- Supports multiple systems or applications of medium to high complexity (complexity defined by size, technology used, and system interfaces) with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity and accessibility.
- Participates in short- and long-term project efforts with stakeholders and IT groups
- Works with project teams and engineers to understand both business and technical needs / requirements.
- Provides on-going feedback and recommendations on requirements based on health check results; communicates events to stakeholders, IT teams, and leadership
- Integrates solutions with other applications and platforms based on business requirements
- Develops scripted solutions and automation;
- Monitors system capacity (disk, space, storage, and CPU utilization); recommends changes/enhancements for improved systems availability, reliability, and performance.
- Recommends performance metrics
- Analyses and reports on operational metrics to understand performance and ensure success in process improvements
- Recommends and develops solutions for improvement of IT support desk procedures; task automation
- Provides Level 1 production support; documents, monitors, reports, and facilitates the resolution of issues
- Works with multiple parties including analysts, engineers, and vendors to resolve issues
- Recommends procedures and controls for problem resolution or creates temporary solutions until permanent solutions can be implemented
- Monitor and report security issues
- Make recommendations to improve security and participates in investigations as needed
- Ensures adherence to security requirements; manage user access to systems or applications; administers the set-up of new profiles,
- Creates and updates access permissions and maintains user accounts for enterprise systems
- On-going security system housekeeping; adheres to information security requirements, policies and standards
- Ensures all necessary network security updates, patches, and preventive measures are in place
- Troubleshoot basic issues/problems such as account lockouts, file share access, application access;
- Performs routing maintenance tasks for infrastructure systems such as backups, patch management, and hot fixes
- Implements the plan for backup and disaster recovery for infrastructure solutions
- Ensures processes and requirements are met such as backup and maintenance availability
- Monitors production, outputs, and services to ensure that SLAs and other quality metrics are being met
- Monitors ticketing queue and responds to service requests and incidents, changes, problems etc.
- installs, configures, and maintains network hardware and software components
- Maintains structured cabling systems; LAN, Wireless, remote access, VPNs, and other connectivity protocols
- Analyses and resolves issues related to facilities bandwidth requirements; contributes to network capacity planning; facilitates scheduled changes to network services;

Current MCSA Windows Server 2012/2016 or higher
Certifications in CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, Security+
2-3 years’ experience working in a similar, tier 3 support role
Proven experience working with virtualized environments such as VMWare, Hyper-V, Acropolis
Proven experience participating in infrastructure and networking projects
Proven experience working with Windows Server editions; Active Directory; DNS; Remote Access technologies; CIFS/SMB/NTFS securities; IIS; File & Print Servers; WSUS or similar patching technologies
Experience working with WMI, PowerShell, VBScript and other scripting languages
Experience working with VoIP, PABX, SIP, and related technologies
Understanding of Class of Service / Quality of Service networking technologies to prioritize business critical traffic and ensure service availability
Understanding of networking and security technologies such as Routers, firewalls, IDS, IPS, switches, wireless access points (Fortinet, Mikrotik, HP/Aruba, Ubiquiti, Cisco)
Experience working with backup technologies such as Veeam, and other backup-related technologies
Experience working in a Retail-orientated organization will be advantageou
