Windows Server OS’s (Ideally from 2016 to 2022)
Full Windows Stack including DHCP, DNS, AD
Linux (Ideally Ubuntu, RedHat and Rocky)
Microsoft Exchange 2013/2016
Microsoft Office 365
Microsoft Azure Stack from Compute, Networking, to Azure Active Directory
Hyper-V

PROVEN SUPPORT EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING –

VMWare

Understanding of security in relation to network, server, applications, data and databases

DESCRIPTION

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Infrastructure Team as an Infrastructure Engineer to help us drive stability and improvements to our PayPoint Group’s IT Infrastructure while we continue to push forward with our next gen cloud technology and automation.

Responsibilities:

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Infrastructure engineers will ensure automation of tasks is at the forefront of speed to deployment of new project work or existing improvements to the infrastructure.
The ideal person will have a proven track record in the installation, support and maintenance of advanced Windows and Linux Technologies and be able to demonstrate managing incidents through to resolution. They will be able to demonstrate an understanding of Infrastructure services to an elevated level for On-Premise, and In-Cloud technologies. Previous experience of working in the financial sector or an ability to provide examples of working in a service critical environment are advantageous.
As an Infrastructure Engineer they will be responsible for ensuring the Infrastructure Services meet all regulatory requirements, namely PCI DSS, ISO27001, and Cyber Security Essentials. This will include the introduction of standards to ensure conformity within the PayPoint environments.

Be responsible for and deliver

  • Operational support of the Infrastructure carrying out 2nd and 3rd line analysis of incidents and problems
  • Engaging with relevant 3rd party support to assist with incident resolution
  • Resolution, Root Cause Analysis, Impact Analysis and Escalation, should be carried out in a timely
  • manner with detailed documented in the ticketing platform
  • Ensure compliance and operation within all company controls and security standards
  • Assist with Projects and Infrastructure Delivery
  • Proactively driving automation of infrastructure tasks to guarantee the outcome of repeatable tasks
  • Identify improvements to existing process ensuring that with agreement, these improvements are implemented in line with PayPoint and Handepay standards
  • Service improvement through best practise and new and innovative technologies
  • Ensure consistency and quality of the service so that all support tickets are progressed in line with operational service levels
  • Review and approve changes in line with the Change Management Process
  • Implement, maintain and test PayPoint DR services as and when required to do so
  • Update documentation, policies and procedures as well as ensuring that they are followed
  • Cover on call for 1 week out of 4 per month
  • And any other duties where applicable

The majority of this role will be remote(Hybrid) but will require some travel to our bright and modern offices in Liverpool
