Description:
The Infrastructure Engineer will play a crucial role in engineering the firm’s Enterprise infrastructure monitoring tools. This position requires deploying resilient and scalable vendor and open-source products in both Windows and Linux environments. The role involves developing solutions to integrate monitoring tools into the firm’s ecosystem, creating automations to streamline manual tasks, and providing second-level support for tools and services within the team.
SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering
- Passion for developing enterprise-scale monitoring solutions
- Proficiency in Python or similar programming language
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Experience in Linux and Windows server administration
- Familiarity with SDLC best practices and source control tools like GIT
- Knowledge of Network TCP/IP; experience with monitoring protocols (SNMP, Syslogs, Wireshark) is a plus
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with industry standard Enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, NetScout)
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes.
- Exposure to public cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure.
