Are you an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer / Systems Engineer, looking for you next challenge within a global leading Engineering organisation? Our client is well-established within the Engineering and Manufacturing sector and is looking for a IT Infrastructure Engineer to oversee the operation, administration, and maintenance of the Company’s IT systems and network infrastructure. Strong knowledge of VMWare is required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

· Take ownership to ensure all work and changes to the infrastructure are performed in such a way as to minimise disruption to existing business use.
· Installing, configuring Cisco Catalyst/Meraki switches
· Configuring, patching and maintaining VMWare hosts whilst minimising system downtime
· Maintaining systems in line with ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials plus
· Support, install, configure, monitor and troubleshoot, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP and Cisco Switches and Routers
· Patch management, software management and automation using SCCM
· Responsible for implementing, designing, supporting and maintaining the infrastructure for the office applications and services across on-premises and cloud environment

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

· Strong working knowledge (CCNA/CCNP) Cisco Catalyst/Meraki networking including VLANs, Subnets, QOS, and Routing Protocols
· Strong VMWare experience
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems, active directory, Microsoft Office, SQL, networking, and computer hardware
