JOB DESCRIPTION

The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for providing 2nd line and 3rd line support to end users (occasionally including external customers), supporting business systems, mentoring 1st line support and general infrastructure maintenance and updating of IT systems and services (patching, backup, security). The support and infrastructure day to day activities will take up approximately 30-40% of your time.
You will be working on IT infrastructure projects (both IT and business ones enabled by technology), supporting the team on the technical readiness activities.
The work will be based primarily in the UK time zone, but candidates will need to work and accommodate our international colleagues. While we do offer some great flexible working options, as part of this support role there is an expectation to be in the office 2 days a week.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE

  • Valuable experience supporting users and infrastructure with a mixture of on premise, hosted and cloud.
  • Office365, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, Intune and Azure AD
  • Intune: Policies, Compliance Profiles, Scripting, CA, MFA, Software Deployment
  • Good knowledge of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Windows 11 Setup/Administration, Azure
  • Network security
  • Networking, Firewalls, DNS, DHCP, Wi-fi, VLAN, VPN, Cisco Meraki
  • Experience in PaaS / IaaS / SaaS / Cloud (Azure) is desirable
  • Windows Virtual Desktop
  • Atlassian (desirable)

  • Professional certifications in ITIL, IT certifications are desirable.
