Description:
Location: The Hague(On-site).
Key Responsibilities:
The Technical Infrastructure Designer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and documenting technical infrastructure solutions that align with both business and technical needs. The role requires collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure that solutions are secure, efficient, and scalable. You will also be expected to lead and coordinate the setup and implementation of these designs within the ICT operational teams.
Mandatory Requirements:
Language Proficiency:
- Working knowledge of English at B2 level or higher.
Experience:
1. Technical Design Creation:
o Minimum of 3 years of experience in creating both High-Level and Detailed Technical Designs that lead to actual implementation.
o Experience should include considerations such as processing power, network segmentation, security principles, monitoring, backup and restore, and presenting/defending solutions to various stakeholders (business, technical, and management).
2. Server Operating Systems:
o At least 5 years of experience in the installation and configuration of MS Windows and/or Linux server operating systems (both physical and virtual environments).
o Experience should also cover interaction with broader infrastructure components such as File shares (CIFS/SMB, NFS), secure LDAP integration, Public Key Certificates, Service accounts, APIs, etc.
3. Security Hardening:
o Minimum of 2 years of experience adapting infrastructure designs with security hardening at every layer (hardware, OS, middleware), following frameworks like CIS guidelines.
4. Documentation:
o At least 3 years of experience documenting technical specifications, including infrastructure design (deployment views, server/network specifications) and operational procedures.
5. Stakeholder Negotiation:
o At least 3 years of experience negotiating technical solutions with various stakeholders, including ICT Security, Governance, Data Protection, ICT Operations, Project Management, and incorporating these discussions into design deliverables.
Desirable Experience:
1. ICT Operational Team Leadership:
o 3 years of experience leading and tasking an ICT Operational team in setting up designs, including coordination and troubleshooting.
2. Cost Analysis:
o 2 years of experience in calculating the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for proposed designs.
Professional Knowledge:
Mandatory:
- Strong understanding of creating technical designs, both at high and detailed levels, leading to successful implementation.
- In-depth knowledge of installing and configuring Windows Server and/or Linux systems, with experience in broader infrastructure interaction (file shares, LDAP, PKI, APIs, etc.).
- Solid experience in implementing security hardening for operating systems, applications, and devices, using frameworks like CIS guidelines.
Desirable:
- Experience in configuring application servers to support authentication systems, encryption, file/database access, and troubleshooting
