Job Description
As part of our wider collaboration and growth initiatives, we are currently seeking to appoint an individual in the role of Infrastructure Major Projects Director. Reporting directly to the Head of Infrastructure and working closely with the Highways Regional Directors and Infrastructure Team Leads, the role will focus on the pipeline of major projects and expand the teams’ delivery capability. You will also be a be a key member of the Infrastructure Leadership Team in the UK and Ireland.
AECOM has identified significant opportunities for growth in the major projects market and we are positioning ourselves for these. The role may evolve as a result, however you will lead and manage the pursuit and delivery of large-scale projects within the Infrastructure teams’ skillset. There will be a specific focus on client engagement (internal and external), managing pipeline and setting up major projects for success and overseeing the delivery of these projects. You will be required to integrate capability from across AECOM to deliver large-scale projects on time and on budget. Your exceptional leadership skills will be instrumental in creating a collaborative, innovative and proactive culture.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Membership of a recognised professional body in an appropriate discipline.
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate discipline.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and execution of significant transport infrastructure projects
  • Identify, Position, Plan and Prioritise major project related business development activities. This will include targeting and positioning for short and longer-term opportunities in this market.
  • Maintain, enhance and grow client relationships to enable AECOM to be well-positioned to bid and deliver major projects
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams from the technical skills and capabilities within the Infrastructure subsector and wider AECOM team
  • Be a visible leader and trusted advisor by promoting AECOM’s values both internally and externally within the major projects market
  • Build effective working relationships with the AECOM Work Winning/Business Development community to maintain momentum towards our growth plans related to major projects.
  • Build effective working relationships internally with a particular emphasis on working with colleagues in Western Europe
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful multi-disciplinary bids.
  • Apply AECOM Governance across all major project pursuits, including Go/No Go Processes and compliance with DoA matrix in accordance with our delegated power
