JOB TITLE: Infrastructure Planning Assistant – Co-op
DEPARTMENT: Public Works & Engineering
EDUCATION:
- Completion of High School (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Currently enrolled in Civil Engineering, Architecture or equivalent program. Proof of enrollment letter will be requested prior to job offer.
OTHER SKILLS AND ASSETS:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with ESRI, G.I.S. and rational database management is an asset
- Strong research and analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong computer and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*Preference will be given to students that have a permanent residency in Brampton.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the drawing of infrastructure assets with ESRI.
- Assist with updating infrastructure attributes from drawings and other sources.
- Support the planning of maintenance activities by updating operation maps using ERSI.
- Report all concerns/issues to immediate supervisor for follow up.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal customers.
- Understand, adhere to, and enforce Corporate Policies & Procedures, Confidentiality Guidelines, Emergency Procedures and Health and Safety Standards.
