Description:

The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (the Authority) is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of:

Responsibilities:

  • Review and comment on Municipal, Infrastructure and Major Residential permit applications.
  • Process and issue permit applications under the Conservation Authorities Act, and Ontario Regulation 41/24.
  • Review technical drawings and reports and respond to requests for information as required.
  • Anticipate and address project issues and provide technical advice and guidance to help facilitate final approvals.
  • Assess, consult, and report to the applicant to notify on completeness of applications, application fees, and outstanding plans/reports.
  • Undertake screening and commenting for Environmental Assessments.
  • Conduct field inspections, prepare reports and track on-site issues and manage issues for permit compliance.
  • Be the direct point of contact for infrastructure related phone calls and emails.
  • Facilitate various Service Level agreements/MOUS with partners.
  • Maintain all documents and records related to infrastructure proposals and permits in SharePoint.
  • Co-ordinate on-site and in-person/virtual meetings with municipal partners, consultants, contractors, developers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
