We are looking for an experienced and talented Infrastructure Technical Engineer to join our IT team and be based at our Kaiapoi plant, where we operate a factory, product development and warehousing & logistics facilities and maintain our head office. This is a key interface role where you will be responsible for ensuring IT hardware, network and server systems across our Australasian sites are secure, maintained and operable always. This role will provide a wide range of technical assistance to users of all our distributed systems and ensures the infrastructure meets our business needs.

KEY COMPETENCIES FOR THIS ROLE:

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or other relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience and recognised prior learning.
• Project management expertise with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks at a time.
• A learners mindset and a key eye for detail.
• A resilient and persevering approuch to problem solving.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a distributed team.
• A commercial nous, including tendering process exposure.

KEY ELEMENTS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE:

• Providing technical advice relating to network and operating systems platforms and design.
• Ensuring integrity and reliability of back-up systems.
• Server management including installation, configuration, testing, scripts, policies, maintaining patches and preventative maintenance.
• Network management including installing operating systems, configuring and assisting with user documentation
• Help Desk Support - providing support and training to staff on desktop applications

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE:

• Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating Systems
• Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 (Hybrid configuration)
• Microsoft SQL Server and Clustering with DAG
• Microsoft Services including IIS, PKI, RDS & SharePoint
• Microsoft Office 365 with Azure, Entra, Intune, Exchange, Teams and SahrePoint
• Trend Micro Vision One suite including Endpoint, Server, Exchange Email and 365 Cloud products
• Infrastructure solution design encompassing 5 sites across New Zealand and Australia

  Working Days: Monday - Friday
  Shift Times: 8:00am - 4:30pm including being on a on-call roster once a month
