Description:
TITLE
We are looking for a Civil Engineer to join our mission to accelerate the transition to a greener future. This role is part of our excellent Total Site team. By joining our team, you will play a key role in the establishment and ramp-up of the project and contribute to the construction of one of the first large-scale battery plants in North America.
ABOUT THE JOB
Northvolt is looking for a technical engineer to coordinate the engineering of the site’s hydraulic infrastructure. This includes a water intake and discharge into the river, pumping stations, raw water, sanitary water, rainwater, drinking water and fire protection networks.
Responsibilities:
1) Coordinating, supervising and reviewing the work of engineering and construction professionals for civil infrastructure :
- underground water networks (drinking water, fire protection, raw water, sanitary and storm sewers)
- river infrastructure (water intakes and discharges)
- stormwater management infrastructure (retention basins, sediment control, sewers, ditches and culverts).
2) Stakeholder management and presentations to the various stakeholders and authorities.
3) Mastering all stages of design and construction is required, from concept, obtaining permits, detailed design and construction.
4) Preparing and reviewing tender documents for engineering and construction services (specifications and bills of quantities).
5) Preparing cost estimates, reports, schedules and presentations.
6) Conduct site visits and coordinate construction activities.
