  Progesys est présentement à la recherche d’un Ingénieur Civil-structure intéressé à travailler sur plusieurs projets industriels.

EXIGENCES

• Baccalauréat en ingénierie civile ou l’équivalent
• Minimum de 7 ans d’expérience dans des projets industriels ( mines, pétrole et gaz, énergie, pétrochimie, etc. )
• Bonne connaissance générale des systèmes complexes des projets industriels en relation avec la discipline structures génie civil
• Bonne connaissance de la planification et des techniques de budgétisation et de contrôle
• Une bonne habilité à la communication et bonne capacité à faire des présentations si requises
• Bilingue Anglais-Français (Le bilinguisme est requis pour cette position puisque l’employé devra communiquer au quotidien avec des parties prenantes ne parlant pas le français)

  Progesys is currently seeking a qualified Civil Engineer interested to work in several industrial projects.

REQUIREMENTS

• University degree in Civil engineering discipline or equivalent
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in industrial projects (mining, oil & gas, energy, petrochemicals, etc.)
• Good general knowledge of complex industrial project systems in relation to the civil engineering structures discipline
• Broad knowledge of planning, budgeting and control techniques
• Excellent communication and presentation skills if required
• Bilingual English-French (Bilingualism is required for this position as the employee will be communicating with non-French speaking stakeholders on a daily basis)
• Ability to work closely with other disciplines

• Review several engineering documents: basic engineering, detailed engineering of the EPC project (including design and supplier engineering)
• Review and make timely corrections and adjustments to the engineering document submitted by the EPC to ensure that design objectives are met and that all civil-structural work complies with applicable standards, specifications, existing plant or customer requirements, and that all work is carried out in accordance with good engineering practice.
• Manage interfaces with all other project disciplines and all connections between new and existing equipment/systems to ensure integrity
• Assist the customer in obtaining, reviewing, and providing feedback on technical engineering drawings
• Provide information and justification for verification calculations that may be required by the customer during the verification phase of the engineering documents
• Ensure that the materials selected on the engineering documents are best suited to the working and safety conditions, and in compliance with applicable codes, standards and existing plant requirements.
• Monitor all civil-structural discipline engineering documents and technical interfaces with other disciplines to ensure that they comply with applicable codes and standards, that all design objects meet process functions, and that their selected materials conform to climatic and environmental conditions, stress analysis and existing system requirements.
• Assist the customer and participate in the verification of interfaces with other engineering disciplines to ensure proper design
• Assist the customer by providing feasible and practical advice that can influence the engineering design
• During the construction and commissioning phase, the civil structural engineer must control and verify all new systems installed, ensure coordination of all technical interfaces, inform the client of work progress and technical problems encountered during the construction or operation phase, participate in the mitigation plan and propose practical and feasible solutions
• Carry out regular site inspection visits to ensure that construction work is implemented correctly by the EPC, with good industrial practice, and in compliance with the approved design, specification requirements, applicable codes/standards and schedule, particularly during the connection phase. Site inspection reports should highlight critical elements and/or non-conformities. Report non-conformance issues as required.
• Verify in advance the list of engineering documents and any technical requirements required for the issue of the provisional certificate issued by the EPC
• Participate and coordinate with the customer in organized technical working meetings with stakeholders, contractors, consultants and any other parties involved in the project.
