Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical or industrial engineering, or other related field.
  • Five years of experience in the packaging industry.

SKILLS

  • Project management
  • In-depth technical and theoretical knowledge of packaging materials and processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on detail.
  • Strong ability to work in teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer tools; Microsoft Office suite, SAP, MES.
  • Must be autonomous, flexible, organized: strong ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be bilingual (French/English).

Responsibilities:

  • Managing packaging material non-conformities; requiring corrective actions, conducting technical follow-ups with suppliers, and documenting investigations and actions taken.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, the KDP Multisite, sister plants, and any other relevant entities.
  • Seeking credits and compensation in proportion to the problems encountered. Demonstrating judgment and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrating a strong analytical mindset in problem-solving. Taking the lead and guiding internal/external cross-functional teams in identifying root causes. Exhibiting perseverance to see through the implementation of sustainable solutions.
  • Establishing and implementing packaging specifications.
  • Developing inspection plans (sampling plans) and data collections.
  • Developing and transferring tools and standards to quality assurance, maintenance, and production departments to ensure packaging quality.
  • Drafting operational procedures, delivering training to quality and production members.
  • Organizing the qualification of new packaging materials. Planning and supervising trials, analyzing data, and providing technical recommendations.
  • Occasionally supervising production at suppliers’ facilities.
  • Working closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering teams, and the multisite across all aforementioned activities.
  • Sharing and adapting best practices with other manufacturing units within the company.
