DESCRIPTION:

About the role

  • Manage individual injury cases from initial reporting through to return-to-work and full recovery.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, workplace policies, and best practices in injury management.
  • Coordinate with external officers and providers to ensure appropriate medical treatment, to facilitate rehabilitation back into the workplace.
  • Develop return to work plans in consultation with healthcare provides ensure they are implemented effectively.
  • Conduct assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend modifications to prevent injuries.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of training programs for employees and Supervisors on injury prevention, injury management, and workplace health and safety.
  • Assist with the development of injury management policies and procedures across the organisation.
  • Prepare regular reports on injury management activities, outcomes, and trends in addition to analysing data to identify areas for improvement.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Key Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Occupational Health or a related field.
  • Relevant certification in injury management or occupational health is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in injury management, case management, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of injury management principles, return-to-work processes, and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using case management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Available to work both in Perth Head Office and on-site.
  • Must hold a valid police clearance.
