DESCRIPTION:
About the role
- Manage individual injury cases from initial reporting through to return-to-work and full recovery.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, workplace policies, and best practices in injury management.
- Coordinate with external officers and providers to ensure appropriate medical treatment, to facilitate rehabilitation back into the workplace.
- Develop return to work plans in consultation with healthcare provides ensure they are implemented effectively.
- Conduct assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend modifications to prevent injuries.
- Assist with the development and implementation of training programs for employees and Supervisors on injury prevention, injury management, and workplace health and safety.
- Assist with the development of injury management policies and procedures across the organisation.
- Prepare regular reports on injury management activities, outcomes, and trends in addition to analysing data to identify areas for improvement.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
Key Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Occupational Health or a related field.
- Relevant certification in injury management or occupational health is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in injury management, case management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of injury management principles, return-to-work processes, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in using case management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Available to work both in Perth Head Office and on-site.
- Must hold a valid police clearance.
