LOCATION – LONDON OR BIRMINGHAM
Salary Birmingham: “Base salary: £32,050pa to c.£37,700pa depending on skills and experience.
Salary London: “Base salary: £36,000pa to c.£42,350pa depending on skills and experience.

As an Innovation Analyst at HS2 you will be responsible for supporting with the identification, analysis and development of innovation opportunities across the HS2 programme. The role includes working closely with the Senior Innovation Managers to build relationships with innovators, evaluate and prioritise ideas and projects as well as assist with the pipeline of projects we are developing. The innovation analyst will also have responsibility for their own area of ownership for a core ‘team process or activity’, such as our knowledge sharing network, foundations programme or innovation forum.

Responsibilities:
- Support the development of best practice process for innovation management across a wide range of portfolios, programmes and projects.
- Work with the innovation team in the assessment of innovative ideas and opportunities identifying those that bring added value against the strategic goals of the project.
- Be part of a team that engenders a culture and climate of innovation to introduce new ideas and opportunities, giving constructive feedback where appropriate.
- To develop personal network and innovation delivery skills within the academic and professional innovation communities.
- To become a key contact point for innovation both for internal and for external organisations.
- Liaise and develop processes, tools, protocols and innovation techniques, including bringing in external best practice across the project.
- To work with the Senior Innovation Managers in the development of Innovation Execution Plans, Business Case analysis, and project close out reporting
- To develop and share innovation projects via multiple internal and external channels including videos, innovation portal, social media (LinkedIn and others), internal news stories and presentationsActively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures in EDI.
