About the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Diploma Beginning in grade 11, students have the option of pursuing the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Diploma, a two-year project based learning curriculum designed and developed in partnership with Tier-1 US research universities including the University of Delaware and Syracuse University. The purpose of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Diploma is to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to thrive in an ever-evolving world. The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Diploma strives to cultivate innovative, ethical, and entrepreneurial thinkers who are prepared to excel in the dynamic landscape of the 21st century.

  • Dual Enrollment: Innovation and Entrepreneurship Diploma courses are designed and endorsed by leading American universities. These dual enrollment courses will award eligible students college credits that can be transferred to most universities.
  • Innovation and Entrepreneurship Diploma Duties: ? Serve as a core teacher in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Diploma program at ISP with a focus on teaching entrepreneurship, design, leadership and other STEM/Innovation courses that may lie outside of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship diploma program.

? Collaborate closely with ISP’s Innovation Coordinator and other teachers within the diploma program to continue to build a strong foundation for this exciting graduation pathway.
? Be an advocate and recruiter for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Diploma working with HS admin, counselors, parents and students to ensure best fit for our students.
? Support in the organization and implementation of the Diamond Challenge Entrepreneurship Competition.
? Mentor students in a wide range of Innovation and entrepreneurship competitions.
? Seek out and make connections with community members.
? Participate actively in ongoing, intensive professional learning. Potentially with opportunities aligned to requirements for dual enrollment partnerships.

? Potentially teach other, non- IE Diploma, courses related to STEM, innovation and design.

  • Responsibilities: (Including but not limited to) 1. Classroom Responsibilities: To provide learning opportunities for every child relative to his needs, abilities, and stages of development establishing effective relationships with students based on mutual respect, recognizing the individuality of each child, ensuring an effective and challenging learning environment, and ensuring the classroom is an attractive and welcoming place.
  1. Planning, Curriculum, and Organizational Responsibilities: To design authentic and meaningful units by starting with the end in mind. Use effective instructional strategies to make learning interactive, exciting, meaningful, and social. Develop and manage classroom resources. Provide students feedback to support their academic and social-emotional growth. Use standards to guide evaluation of student work, and record results to provide an accurate assessment of student achievement.
  2. Professional Development Expectations: To embrace a growth mindset by keeping up-to-date on best practices, engaging in teacher development opportunities, participating in in-service courses, attending professional meetings as scheduled by Leadership, seeking out and using feedback from coaches and administrators, and participating in the ISP professional learning cycle as outlined in the evaluation process.

  3. Community Expectations: Engage with our ISP community by sharing updates on the progress and development of the students in the teacher’s care, as well as important events happening in the classroom. Find opportunities to meet with parents, caregivers, and guardians to discuss the progress and development of the students, and collaborate to support the child’s specific needs, interests, and passions. Connect with our larger community by attending PTA events, athletics events, and various student performances.
