Description:

The Innovation Intelligence Liaison will play a critical role in bridging our organization with external innovation networks. This position combines market intelligence expertise with strategic networking to build and maintain relationships with research institutes, universities, venture capital firms, startups, and scale-ups globally in the core focus areas of: - Energy and Utilities - Health and Life Science - Transport and Logistics - Food and Agriculture - Other Verticals as required.
The ideal candidate will be adept at analysing market trends, identifying emerging opportunities, and fostering collaborations that align with our strategic objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant professional experience is acceptable in lieu of a University degree. (Master’s or MBA) is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in market intelligence, product marketing, venture capital (analyst), or innovation management.
  • You must have relevant market experience and a network in at least one of the primary market verticals, preferably two.
  • Proven track record in building and managing strategic relationships on a global scale. Experience working with research institutions, universities, venture capital firms, and startups.
  • Familiarity with the Middle East market and cultural nuances is highly desirable.

  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Exceptional networking and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English Strategic thinker with the ability to align initiatives with broader organizational goals.
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. Proficiency in using market research tools and CRM systems.
  • Other Requirements: Willingness to travel internationally as required. High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
  • Experience working in environments handing highly sensitive and confidential information

Responsibilities:

  • Market Intelligence: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Analyse data to generate actionable insights and strategic recommendations. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Networking and Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in research institutes, universities, venture capital firms, startups, and scale-ups.
  • Represent the company at international conferences, seminars, and networking events to enhance visibility and build connections.
  • Coordinate meetings, deliver workshops, and collaborative projects with external partners, clients and internal parties.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify and evaluate potential collaboration and partnership opportunities that align with the company’s or clients innovation goals.
  • Negotiate terms and facilitate agreements with external organizations.

  • Scouting: Monitor global innovation ecosystems to scout for promising startups and technologies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for potential collaborations, investments, joint ventures, or acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to assess the feasibility and strategic fit of new opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and clients teams across multiple disciplines such as R&D, Business Development, and Product Management to align external insights with internal initiatives.
  • Share market intelligence and partner feedback to inform strategy and decision-making processes.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain a database of contacts, partnerships, and market intelligence reports. Ensure all activities are documented and aligned with company policies and compliance requirements.
