Description:
The Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult is dedicated to reducing costs while increasing UK content by combining world-class testing facilities with expertise in key technologies. We are looking to recruit an Innovation Manager to join our Research and Disruptive Innovation (RDI) team, supporting UK companies in bringing new technologies to the offshore wind sector.
The RDI team leads ORE Catapult’s search for future technologies, conducting foresighting, road mapping, and research to de-risk innovations. We focus on enabling high-growth potential small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to enter the sector by providing technology assessments, identifying funding opportunities, offering testing services, and supporting the commercialisation of new products and services.
In this role, you will assist the Senior Innovation Manager in assessing emerging technology trends, engaging with SMEs, and developing technology roadmaps and funding applications. You may also manage collaborative projects and contribute to the commercialisation of innovative products and services, offering guidance on the offshore wind market and developing appropriate business models.
Priority areas for disruptive technologies include next-generation turbines, floating wind, energy storage, robotics, AI, autonomous systems, data analytics, satellite applications, and wave and tidal energy
QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree or equivalent in a science, engineering or business discipline
- Ideally, a higher degree in business, management or related subject.
- Strong ability in Maths, English and Sciences.
