We are delighted to be recruiting for an Inside Sales Executive from a shipping/freight forwarding background, who can build excellent rapport with existing and new clients to encourage repeat business. Responsibilities:

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow-Up on Spot Quotes by proactively reaching out to clients to confirm receipt of quotes and address questions or concerns.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up to improve conversion rates.
  • Build rapport with clients to understand their needs and encourage repeat business.
  • Handle client objections effectively and work to close deals.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams
  • Coordinate with sales, pricing, and operations teams to ensure accurate quotes and feasibility.
  • Monitor the status of quotes and update CRM systems with progress.
  • Analyse data on quote conversion rates and provide insights to management.

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • Freight forwarding knowledge is essential and experience working in a similar environment.
  • Cold sales and telesales experience is essential.
  • Ability to provide freight quotes for groupage shipments via the Quote Tool
  • Ability to identify the full potential of the Prospect across all modes of Transport
  • Enthusiastic, target driven and self-motivated.
  • Strong Communication: Confident and clear when speaking with clients or team members and able to handle objections effectively.
  • Organisation: Manage multiple quotes and follow-ups efficiently.
  • Knowledge of using PC applications to include Microsoft Office with a bias of Excel. Also accurate in typing and keyboard skills.
  • GCSE/’A’ Level standard for English & Maths (or equivalent).
