Description:

Inside sales/order processors primary activities include entering sales orders from information received from multiple sources including: phone, e-mail, web sites or from the outside sales team. Duties include confirming product specifications, quantities, pricing and scheduling of services such as delivery or installation. There is a high level of interaction with customers, vendors and other employees in a fast-paced environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 1 year experience in customer service, inside sales and/or order entry experience
  • Experience working with distribution software
  • Construction or building materials experience preferred
  • Ability to work effectively as a part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Work, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic work environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

  • Create sales orders on all incoming orders in a timely basis. Creates and ties purchase orders for stock and non-stock product works with purchasing to ensure proper stock levels.
  • May enter orders for service work or delivery. Ensures service parts are ordered, service is scheduled and conducts customer follow-up to ensure work was completed satisfactorily.
  • Finalize sales orders by updating order information and completing shipping feedback.
  • May be responsible for scheduling installation or service or product.
  • May have responsibility for system integrity including maintenance of pricing records, creating new items, tracking and entering/maintaining price quotes.
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, maintenance of reports, housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
