Description:

AYR Motor Express is looking to add an Inside Sales Representative to its Dispatch Operations team!
Reporting to the Manager of Operations, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and developing strategic partnerships within the transportation industry in the USA market. Leveraging your selling skills, you will identify and seize new business opportunities, manage client relationships, and book loads that strategically meet our needs to keep our drivers and equipment moving seamlessly.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of relevant experience in sales (business to business), experience in the transportation or logistic industry (3PL)
  • Established key industry relationships.
  • Experience with cold calling.
  • Ability to work cohesively as a team player.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, resourceful and result oriented.
  • A positive attitude with a customer focused approach.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Experience:

  • TL inside sales: 1 year (required)

Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities for business development and sales growth in current and new territories.
  • Develop and expand our customer base through proactive outreach and networking.
  • Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers, to ensure effective back-haul to Canada.
  • Act as a main point of contact for USA customers, answering inquiries and information requests regarding pick up, delivery, and ETAs.
  • Work directly with the USA operations team to determine gaps where additional loads are needed.
  • Enter loads, assign loads, and ensure pick up and deliver information in all systems is accurate and up to date.
  • Proactively address and resolve any customer issues that may arise.
  • Maintain communication with Drivers regarding customer details or requirements regarding their freight, yards, and pick up/delivery processes.
  • Verify with Drivers on hours of service, schedules, appointment times, and ETAs.
  • Collaborate with the management team and USA Team to align with customer requirements and drive growth.
