JOB SUMMARY:

As an Inside Sales Representative at Crop Defenders, you will engage in meaningful selling interactions with potential and existing customers through phone, email, and instant messaging. You will collaborate with IPM Field Specialists to prosecute outbound sales opportunities, primarily generated by the campaign coordinator, and manage repeat purchases. Your understanding of the biological/IPM control in the greenhouse industry will help you provide relevant, effective solutions to customers, particularly in repeat purchasing scenarios. You will also handle sales inquiries and support high-volume sales at low costs, ensuring a positive customer experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in inside sales or similar roles
  • Knowledge or experience in biological/IPM control in the greenhouse industry is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ambitious, engaging, and knowledgeable about sales strategies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with IPM Field Specialists and technical sales teams
  • Proficient in CRM software and sales platforms
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment

Responsibilities:

  • Perform meaningful selling interactions (phone, email, instant messaging)
  • Prosecute all outbound sales opportunities generated by the campaign coordinator with the support of IPM Field Specialists
  • Manage repeat purchases and simple opportunities, particularly when supported by technical IPM Field Specialists
  • Identify larger opportunities to escalate to technical sales specialists when necessary
  • Collaborate closely with IPM Field Specialists to ensure smooth transitions between inside and field sales efforts
  • Maintain a high volume of sales activities, aiming for 30 meaningful selling interactions per day
  • Ensure seamless communication with customer service (for generating quotes and processing orders)
  • Support and enhance a lively, fun inside sales environment
  • Participate in the transition of smaller-dollar-value transactions to e-commerce as the company evolves
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a dynamic, collaborative sales office culture
