JOB DESCRIPTION

This role focuses on the sale of clinical products and services in the healthcare laboratory industry, primarily by using virtual engagement methods (email, internet, Microsoft Teams) and other technology within a defined territory. The Inside Sales Representative I will lead the building and fostering of effective customer relationships, develops opportunities for growth within an existing customer base, and assures market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts!
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- HS Diploma or GED is required; Bachelor’s degree; Science or Business strongly preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in the healthcare industry, scientific or laboratory experience is a plus.
- Sales experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Develop and nurture customer relationships with laboratory, supply chain, purchasing, and C-suite contacts.
- Independently make decisions, apply available resources to meet customer needs and work optimally with cross-functional team of supplier and internal resources.
- Develop sales strategies and implement effectively to expand business; maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Perform sales calls and virtual vendor co-travel with existing and new customers in the assigned territory primarily by virtual means (phone, email, Teams video). Face-to-face customer meetings may be required quarterly.
- Research competitor and industry activity, keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers. Incorporating this data into business strategies
- Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files vital for accurate management of territory.
- Ability to manage a territory effectively, while raising any customer issues or potential problems where support is needed.
- Effectively communicate impactful situations to customers
- Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times while interacting with customers and internal support teams
RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven selling agility.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills
- Proven record of establishing goals and achieving results
- Computer proficiency in MS Office and Teams. Adaptability to using new programs to effectively manage business.
- Must possess a strong desire to serve the customer.
- Must deliver excellent customer service.
- Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet commitments.
- Must be willing to travel to customer sites, sales meetings and for training events occasionally.
