We have an unique and brand new role for a motivated Inside Sales Rep to join our team and focus on identifying and securing relevant direct sales opportunities for our Commercial Service & Repair function.

Inside Sales for Service & Repair is an innovative service provided by Medtronic; this service will offer a single dedicated expert who will sell Service Agreements and other service-related products to customers within Australia & New Zealand region. In this role, you will be responsible for negotiating terms and conditions, negotiating contract prices, administering contracts to meet requirements, and complying with company guidelines.
Your natural ability to connect and communicate and have a consultative approach to selling and partnering with both internal and external stakeholders will be key to your success as an Inside Sales Representative.
Reporting into the Service Inside Sales Manager, and based in Medtronic’s Head Office in Macquarie Park, Sydney, this is a role which will empower you to drive your sales career in an exciting direction!

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Meet Revenue and Attach Rate targets
  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls and emails
  • Creates customer sales quotes & participate in contract negotiations (within approved pricing parameters) with field employees, external customers, & hospital buying groups with minimal supervisory involvement. Ensure the product sales team is updated on significant customer related issues regarding service and brainstorm solutions, possibly involving other Medtronic businesses, as appropriate.
  • Administer, extend and negotiate standard and nonstandard contracts including completing the red-line/editing process to meet customer specifications, and partnering with Legal where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Sales Management in forecasting monthly and quarterly sales and in long term funnel management. Regularly update and maintain opportunities to reflect their point in the sales stage.
  • Develop creative service and/or pricing solutions to complex hospital scenarios.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to determine annual list prices, improvements to service offerings, sales tools, and other pertinent issues involving service revenue.
  • Maintain customer files, complete and accurate information in databases. Review and confirm customer purchase orders and prepare them for order entry.
  • All activities must be performed in compliance with the Quality System.

Must-Have:

  • Bachelors Degree and 3+ years negotiating service contracts within medical technology product/service sales or working in a hospital contracting department.
  • Demonstrated success with sales process, lead generation, relationship building, and deal closing
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • A willingness to work across a complex matrix structure with a high sense of urgency
  • Strong negotiation skills and a solution focused mindset
