JOIN OUR TEAM AS AN INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE - STRUCTURAL STEEL
Steward Machine Co. is a leader in the structural steel industry, known for our commitment to quality and innovation. We are seeking a dynamic Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This role is crucial in identifying, developing, and securing sales leads for potential customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for entering customer information into our CRM, communicating with customers, and collaborating with other departments to convert opportunities into orders. QUALIFICATIONS
- Five or more years of direct work experience in a sales role.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of different fabrication/machining processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, challenging environment as an integral part of the sales team.
- Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel a minimum of 25% of the time in the assigned territory.
- Exhibit integrity and a positive attitude.
- Strong reasoning skills and ability to resolve issues quickly.
- Ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles.
- Physically able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Prior experience in sales supporting a heavy manufacturing, machining, or fabrication organization (preferred).
- Prior experience using Salesforce CRM (preferred).
Responsibilities:
- Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential leads.
- Create and deliver qualified opportunities to other team members.
- Maintain and expand the company’s database of prospects.
- Ensure follow-up by following up on leads and passing leads to appropriate team members with calls-to-action, dates, profile information, sources, etc.
- Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients.
- Support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events where necessary.
- Make outbound follow-up calls to existing clients via telephone and email.
- Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and emails.
- Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate CRM platform.
- Work with the Estimating Department to comply with customers’ needs and requirements.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Adhere to safety rules and report equipment malfunctions to the proper authority.
- Perform other tasks as instructed by supervision.
