Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Oversees Inside Sales team and day-to-day activities of the department to ensure the team members are meeting or exceeding their individual goals. Provides training on new products or services, coaching employees on how best to interact with customers, and monitor market trends. Supervises maintenance and reviews complex and multifaceted profiles of customer accounts. Identifies and improves sales opportunities.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Logistics or similar relevant field
  • 5+ year inside sales experience, preferably as a team supervisor in steel industry. Prior experience as a with tubing or industrial sales preferred

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

  • Strong knowledge of Atlas’ capabilities and internal requirements to maintain operating efficiencies preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, business systems and mobile platforms
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to project and conclude
  • Strong customer service, supervisory and sales skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional conflict resolution and problems solving skills
  • Decisiveness and problem solving skills to address customer complaints
  • Ability to develop and maintain internal relations with hiring managers, technical and manufacturing personnel

Responsibilities:

  • Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
  • Provides input on sales goals, quotas, and metrics for team members to measure their performance.
  • Meets with team members to discuss goals, progress, and challenges facing the department.
  • Provides feedback to team members about their performance and helps them improve their skills.
  • Reviews reports from each sales representative to identify areas for improvement.
  • Reviews customer feedback and inquiries to ensure that all customer needs are met by providing customer service to clients and answering questions about products or services. Recommends appropriate course of actions for the team members based on the client’s needs and budget parameters.
  • Trains employees on company policies and procedures.
  • Establishes and enforces rules and regulations to ensure efficient operation of the department.
  • Meets with team members to discuss goals, progress, and challenges facing the department.
  • Reviews competitive activity and regional pricing levels within the assigned territory to ensure the team understands data on market trends and regional pricing levels.
  • Travels to customer locations for follow-up, presentations, or demonstrations.
  • Hires, coaches, develops, monitors, and evaluates performance of staff. Reviews and recommends personnel actions for approval.
  • Performs other duties as they might be assigned.
  • Regular and predictable, full-time, on-site attendance during scheduled hours.
