Full time starting salary is normally in the range £35,880 to £45,163 with potential progression once in post to £47,874

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE

  • Educated to Degree level (or equivalent qualifications) or relevant experience in fundraising or business data analysis. Experience in the non-profit sector, including higher education, would be an advantage
  • Strong IT, technical, data analytics, and CRM skills, with knowledge of Blackbaud CRM or Raiser’s Edge preferable
  • Experience of BI platforms, report and dashboard construction, and data segmentation (specific experience with PowerBI is highly desirable)
  • Critical thinker and data storyteller with the ability to transform data and information into structured and impactful reports in line with identified need
  • Experience of data analysis, quality, cleansing, extraction and validation processes
  • Fluency in SQL or similar database query language is required
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders and teams
  • Strong and adaptable communication and relationship management skills to on-board and engage stakeholders at different levels
  • Problem solver
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Knowledge of fundraising / fundraising operations, preferably in higher education or large / complex non-profit organisations, is highly desirable
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate the extent to which equality and diversity legislation, policies, procedures are applied

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY

This new role in DARO will lead on providing insight and intelligence utilising reporting tools to guide, influence and drive strategic and operational activity. Long-term, the role will lead on the development, delivery and maintenance of a suite of live reports (using PowerBI). In the short term, the role will produce regular static reports on key KPIs and metrics whilst working with the Head of CRM to develop the capabilities of CRM and related integrated systems in readiness for BI reporting. The role will also be responsible for developing skills across DARO to utilise the functionality of PowerBI whilst building an understanding of the importance of data as an asset through analytics and reporting. Alongside this, the role will provide direct support to stakeholder teams through the provision of complex queries and data support to enable key DARO activity such as fundraising campaigns and mailings. This role will therefore require a robust combination of adaptable technical proficiencies, data storytelling techniques, and relationship building and communication skills.
