Description:

  • The ideal candidate is a strong technical generalist with knowledge of IT hardware, software, data, networking, and as a bonus be already familiar and comfortable with Inventory Management Solutions, including RFID technology. A healthy curiosity about how things work is necessary as the ideal candidate will frequently need to troubleshoot components, perform research to resolve issues, and manage their own learning about CribMaster products. The ability to write effectively & to communicate in a multi-lingual environment is an important part of the position, as the ideal candidate will collaborate frequently via email, write technical documents related to projects and deliver basic onsite training to complete the delivery of their work on site. Above-average skill with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio required.

This is a customer-facing position and the ideal candidate is someone who will impeccably represent CribMaster during on-site implementations by being well-organized, technically competent, upholding a professional image at all times and working effectively as part of a wider technical team. Knowledge of tools and industrial processes is advantageous.

  • Works closely with project coordination to ensure all software and hardware to be used for customer site installation, including, but not limited to, ensuring all machine configurations are correct and data is imported and cleaned
  • Acts as the customer’s technical advocate and makes recommendations that facilitate efficient and productive implementations
  • Understands various deployment options of CribMaster products and ensures these are utilized to meet customer needs
  • Follows detailed installation processes and procedures
  • Prepares and provides basic product training to meet customer needs, whilst working closely with the Training & Educational Specialist for alignment
  • Develops custom documentation to match customer processes
  • Develops solutions and educates customers in various stages of product implementation
  • Assists with preparing formal project plans for customers
  • Supports the sales team with all opportunities including pre-sale customer site surveys
  • Completes RFID / Non-RFID implementations, training, and post implementation support.
  • Proficient in English, other languages a plus point
  • Existing knowledge / experience of CribMaster a major advantage
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, networking basics
  • Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting software on Windows computers
  • Fundamental understanding of databases, particularly SQL definitions
  • Solid understanding and use of Microsoft Excel to analyze and manipulate data
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills: formal, informal, and technical
  • Self-motivated individual with the desire to succeed and motivate others
  • Ability to self-learn
  • Must have mechanical aptitude and ability to use standard hand tools to repair/replace mechanical and electronic components. Must have basic knowledge of electricity and radio.
  • Must have industrial safety aptitude: the ability to work safely in potentially dangerous environments that include welding, milling, stamping, heavy machinery, high-temperatures, platforms, ladders, enclosed spaces, and chemicals.
  • Ability to teach IT and software techniques / features
  • Familiarity with tools, industrial processes, and inventory management is a plus
  • Familiarity with RFID concepts and technology is a plus
  • Knowledge of IOT technologies is a plus
  • Project management experience is a plus
  • Experience with RFID testing is a plus
  • Experience in field service, field engineering is a plus
