We are looking for a brilliant commercial leader to deliver our strategy for installing the devices that will power and heat the Hive Home, whether Heat Pumps, Solar systems, Home Batteries, EV Chargers or the humble but mighty thermostat. You will be working with installation businesses and engineers the length and breadth of the UK to deliver these technologies at speed and at scale, creating a collaborative network to decarbonise British homes.
In order to deliver our strategy, the successful candidate will:
- Engage key stakeholders, such as tradespeople and SMEs, deploying understanding and first-hand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities they face
- Develop and respond to customer insight, leading initiatives that adapt and bring to market relevant and attractive customer propositions through the installer network and propositions for the installers themselves
- Define the growth strategy, including implementing appropriate operating and commercial models
- Work with the product and digital teams to design and set the requirements for the technology platform that will underpin the strategy
- Lead cross-team Trading meetings to drive rapid growth across Direct and Partnership channels, using influence to instill accountability in operational, marketing, sales and product teams to meet targets, KPIs and SLAs
- Lead the financial forecasting processes and senior performance reviews, and day-to-day be the commercial decision maker on pricing, business case, activity and budget proposals
What we’re looking for:
- Significant experience in an operational and/or commercial role, installing and managing the installation of renewable technologies
- Can understand and engage with key stakeholders, including tradespeople and SMEs. Empathising with some of the challenges which they may face
- Experience of working in a large matrix organisation and can navigate the political and organisational landscape in order to move at pace
- Can build relationships with partner organisations and has significant experience in commercial contracting for success
- Is a self-starter who seizes the initiative and doesn’t wait for permission to get things done
- An understanding of how to take quantified risk in a business where speed to market is vital
- Has experience in leading small dynamic teams
- Evidence of being able to quickly build an understanding of the competitive landscape and profit drivers
- Experience in software and technology based-services is also desirable
