We strive to add hardworking people to our team and we are currently seeking an Institutional Equity Compliance Officer in our Human Resources & Office of Institutional Equity department. The annual salary for this position is 57,000.00.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct investigations and reports regarding complaints of discrimination and harassment involving faculty, staff, and students in accordance with university policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and facilitate trainings, workshops, procedures and pathways that lead to resolution.
  • Conduct outreach and monitor progress to ensure compliance with university policies.
  • Analyze workforce data and prepare annual affirmative action plan(s).
  • Assist in the intake and resolution of reports of conflict, potential harassment, or discrimination through information, advice, and informal resolution.
  • Manage and monitor annual training for students and employees related to Title IX.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in legal, compliance, law enforcement, or higher or related field.
  • 2 years of experience conducting fact-based investigations, developing and presenting training materials, policy compliance, and affirmative action planning.
  • Knowledge of federal and state EEO laws pertaining to discrimination, harassment, Title IX, AA/EO, the ADA, & FERPA in an educational or public setting.
  • The ability to conduct fact-based investigations of a confidential and sensitive nature in accordance with written policies and procedures without bias.
  • Work with diverse populations and a demonstrated skill in furthering community standards.
  • Knowledgeable in affirmative action plan preparation and implementation.
  • Ability to work independently and ability to prioritize and manage complex and difficult projects.
  • Strong critical-thinking and analytical skills demonstrated through strong written and oral communication.
  • Proficient with computers, software applications and emerging technologies and use of virtual meeting platforms.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Master’s degree or JD preferred.
  • Experience with Maxient, Banner, Brightspace, or other LMS software.
