Required Qualifications, US:

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance, Economics, or Business
  • 2+ years prior experience in Foreign Exchange preferably in a back office or middle office capacity or demonstrate appreciable knowledge of foreign exchange trades and settlements
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers, business partners, peers, and upper management
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fact paced and fluid environment and work under pressure
  • Ability to adapt and learn new systems, processes, and regulations quickly and on a regular basis and comfortable working with technology and applications
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to convey processes, procedures, guidelines, and analytics in an approachable laymen’s terms
  • Self motivated and a strong desire for continued learning.

Responsibilities:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Institutional Investment Operations Specialist in FX Operations as a part of Corporate Investment Banking.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with internal teams to facilitate the amendment and cancellation events of FX trades while having awareness of the market, settlement, and regulatory risk and within tight regulatory SLAs
  • Resolve and troubleshoot issue related to trades and system that arise from trade amendment or cancellation events
  • Provide monitoring of various exception queues throughout the day and work to clear them
  • Create various reporting with focus on analysis of the data for multiple audiences with system provided data
  • Be actively involved in improvements to the existing processes and systems and engage in projects related to that including but not limited to providing guidance, requirements, testing, etc
  • Participate in lifecycle support tasks for FX trades and identify opportunity for process improvements
  • Assist leadership in bringing individual or teams together in order to resolve complex issues
  • Review and analyze functional operational tasks that require research, evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverable
  • Provide subject matter expertise on projects along with internal and industry related initiatives
  • Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise on functions, projects, internal and industry related initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check.
