JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and communicating institutional and external data as required to support university strategic initiatives, external reporting requirements, and ad hoc requests in support of data-informed decision-making.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Three (3) years of related experience

PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Prior related experience at an accredited institution of higher education
Experience with enterprise reporting systems

Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills

Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite, data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI)

Strong phone and e-mail etiquette

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -

  1. Manages and maintains data quality documentation
  2. Works collaboratively with campus stakeholders to interpret and respond effectively to requests and needs
  3. Assists with gathering data and developing reports in support of external reporting requirements (e.g., state, federal) and surveys
  4. Prepares deliverables, such as dashboards, reports, and other documentation using appropriate tools adhering to institutional standards
  5. Manages the department’s ad hoc data requests to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  6. Compiles standard and ad hoc reports per established guidelines
  7. Assist the department with continuous improvement efforts by recommending opportunities to enhance business processes
  8. Develops communication mechanisms, including but not limited to data visualizations, website updates, and reports
