The Instructional Design Lead is responsible for leading and developing an Instructional Design team, including management-level staff, for a specific vertical or portfolio to achieve high-quality solutions across curriculum development projects. This position executes the strategy, design and development of new programs and maintains the competitiveness of existing programs designed to develop, motivate, and retain Concentrix staff.
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Instructional Design Lead to join our team, overseeing a large-scale content supply chain operation for a major brand. This leader should have 7-10 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing instructional materials and courses. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in instructional design theories and practices, along with leadership capabilities to manage a team of junior Instructional Designers. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for creating engaging and impactful learning experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of multiple junior Instructional Designers, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Instructional Design: Develop comprehensive instructional design plans and course materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, and blended learning programs.
- Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough needs analysis to identify training requirements and gaps within the organization.
- Content Development: Design and produce engaging instructional content, including multimedia elements such as videos, animations, graphics, and interactive activities.
- Learning Management Systems (LMS): Manage and maintain course content on various LMS platforms, ensuring accessibility and usability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and contact center team members to gather content and ensure accuracy and relevancy.
- Evaluation: Develop and implement evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness of training programs and materials.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in instructional design and educational technology and apply them to enhance learning experiences.
- Project Management: Manage instructional design projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the strategic planning of the instructional design department, aligning initiatives with organizational goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in instructional design and educational technology and apply them to enhance learning experiences.
Required skills:
- Excellent English skills (verbal & writing).
- 7-10 years of Instructional Design project experience, with a proven track record of developing and delivering successful training programs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology or related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize projects in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented business environment.
- Must be a strategic thinker able to contribute to and align with organizational strategic goals.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership with focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to create visually appealing and engaging learning materials.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in content development tools (ex: Articulate 360 and Rise).
- Basic proficiency in photo and audio editing software (ex: Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Paint, Adobe Audition and Audacity). 
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
