The Opportunity
We are seeking an Instructional Designer to join our team on a short-term day-rate contract. This position is essential for updating learning materials to comply with the upcoming CoFI (Conduct of Financial Institutions) regulation in New Zealand. You will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and business owners to review, assess, and update existing e-learning modules, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements.
We seek someone with experience in dealing with compliance modules, instructional design, and proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Guru Producer) and learning management systems (LMS). Strong organizational skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities, are essential. This role offers and embraces flexible working arrangements. You’ll have the freedom to work remotely, with occasional office attendance required on an ad hoc basis, ensuring a harmonious balance between business needs and personal flexibility.
Your Story

- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify training needs and develop instructional materials.
- Design, evolve and develop e-learning courses to meet the needs of our business and our people.
- Conduct needs assessments and analyse learner feedback to continuously improve training programs.
- Work with project teams to ensure key milestones are met in relation to learning and development outcomes.
- Ensure all training materials are aligned with company goals and regulatory requirements.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality training solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and learning technologies.
- Experience in instructional design or a similar role.
- Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Guru Producer) and learning management systems (LMS).
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management and organisational skills
Ideal Experience
- Experience in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Experience with compliance and regulatory learning material.
- Certification in instructional design or related areas
