Description:
ATHABASCA UNIVERSITY’S FACULTY OF HEALTH DISCIPLINES IS CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR AN INSTRUCTIONAL MEDIA ANALYST.
This is a temporary full-time position commencing January 1, 2025, toMarch 31, 2026.

THE POSITION
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Teaching and Learning, the Instructional Media Analyst designs and maintains multimedia course materials aligned with Faculty of Health Disciplines (FHD) guidelines and learning outcomes. The analyst creates multimodal learning activities, enhances existing content using new technologies, and collaborates with course teams to improve development processes. Key responsibilities include supporting digital course delivery, maintaining online materials, administering learning management systems, and advising academic staff. The analyst also researches emerging instructional technologies, facilitates communication between technical and non-technical teams, and stays up-to-date with instructional design trends.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred) in educational technology, instructional design, or a related field
- Experience working remotely in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Proven experience in digital instructional design using various technologies, including Brightspace
- Prior experience in online education within post-secondary institutions and online program delivery
- Proficiency in current instructional design principles, including Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team in an academic setting to develop and/or revise digitally delivered courses
